This is a collection of a show from the BBC about hustling, its 2 guys that show you all different kinds of hustles, from elaborate scams that involve situations that wouldnt normally happen, to elaborate scams in every day situations, to proposition bets at bars to casino hustling. they're really interesting to watch. btw, the simpsons movie was better than i anticipated. 8.5

Harry Potter was EXTREMELY good. Not perfect; not flawless; but very very good nonetheless. It makes me happy, and it should make you happy too. Hooray.

On this, the eve of the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I am faced with the realization that something I truly enjoy very much will be coming to an end. Those of you who read the books understand where I'm coming from; they are truly masterpieces. Those who haven't read them may think I'm crazy/immature/stupid/all of the above, but honestly: 1. You're wrong and 2. I don't care.
It hit me today (while reading various internet venues) that though this latest book has been leaked in a new, needless to say interesting method, the people who are turning to the internet to find out what happens aren't those who truly appreciate the books for what they are. Every fan I know or I've read about is cursing the leak and avoiding internet forums that may contain spoilers. This action is a mark of the success of Rowling's work.
Normally, if I can download a movie before it is released in theaters, I'll jump at the opportunity to see it before it comes out. In this case, however, I have no desire whatsoever to spoil the ending (or the beginning and middle) before the book comes out. I'll be up late tomorrow night, along with thousands of other people and kids who probably should be sleeping to read until my eyes wont stay open any more. And if this last installment is anything like the others, which I am confident it will be, it wont have any problems holding my attention.
So, though I doubt anyone I know well enough would even bother, all I ask is that should you feel the need to ruin the magic of Deathly Hallows for yourself by reading the spoilers, keep your mouth shut for those of us who wish to experience the book as J.K. Rowling intended it to be read.

what up. let the harry debate begin. don't read if you havn't read the books or seen the fifth movie. that is all.
the movie, my pros and cons:
CONS
- as always, the story inevitably seems empty due to the tremendous volume of subplot in the book. this must be ignored however, this is a movie. so it doesn't count.
- not enough rooms in the department of mysteries
- snape is again too underdeveloped as a character, although better than the last movie
- continuity regarding the appearance of death eaters, talking sirius fire head, and some other stuff i am forgetting
- emo harry
PROS
- the movie was a good movie. regardless of the book, which i thought was the worst of the series, the story was, for the most part, cohesive. and the movie was interesting
- visually, it really brought to life some awesome shit, especially the flying over london scenes and the voldey/dumbledore battle
- cut scenes of harry's mind were brilliant
- the right emotions were elicited, similar to reading the book emotions, regardless of plot changes. i felt annoyed with harry, but also bad for sirius, and sad at his death, and the whole tone was darker and more foreboding
- luna, umbridge, and grawp were done very well i thought. sirius, who i didn't really like in 3 or 4, acted more like the sirius i had in my head. several scenes with harry set up his importance ten times better than the past two movies put together. and new characters were more accurate, unlike the introduction of lupin, which was weak in the minds of fans
- key themes were maintained
- the fred and george escape scene was great
discuss.

what up. bet you thought i was going to stop posting already. pysch!
i hung out with my cousin steve yesterday (dad's sisters oldest son), and he is really cool. no he does not make cat noises. but he does know a lot about food. he works for morell wine distributors and we ate at the morell wine bar on 49th street. good good stuff. nice puglisi family bonding doesn't exist anymore, and its a damn shame. it's time to change that.
i've been working pretty hard, bouchon is getting intense and i've recently picked up a second potential job at a place called the fatty crab in the meatpacking district. i plan to balance the two. i'll be waiting tables at this one, so if anyone feels like a nice malaysian style dungeoness chilli crab, come on down. also you are all welcome at bouchon where the sandwiches are really just sticks of butter shaped like ham and cheese. just kidding. sort of. seriously though, if you want to go and experiance some fine french bistro style lunch, let me take you. it's totally half price too. and as a bonus you might meet some joe-in-the-city friends, a la mark and karens excellent adventure. central park wandering included. a night at cheap shots optional.
speaking of city friends, everyone planning to attend the harry movie extravaganza get excited, because you will all meet my charming and esteemed roommate perry. yes the one who hates karen for her hatemongering. get pumped, but not so pumped that you throw change at him. don't wear your nazi t-shirt either. you know the one.
see you all tuesday night; bring snacks because i just might bring a cookie or two from bouchon. holla. pimpfi out.
