So I learned for the first time today (via the crossword puzzle in Sky Magazine on my flight back to New Orleans) that the NFL Washington Redskins are from Washington DC, and not Washington state. I have lived 23.5 years of my life under the assumption that the Washington Redskins were from the state of Washington. Now my world is upside down.
