yo yo....its 5:30 am and i just walked through the door. why? lemme take a step back....thursday nite stephen and i drove up to albany and spent the nite there with mark and kevin......the next day we waited for vincent to get to albany from cornell and then left for cape cod....5 large people in a car for 6 hrs=lots of fighting....lots of viscious, disgusting fighting. we stopped at a friendly's which ironically made us all friendlier, until we got back into the car.....having a fishing rod in the car didnt help....
so we get to the house on cape cod and played various poker games all nite and got food supplies for the morning, tried to go to sleep but we all ran around the house freaking ourselves out because cape cod is a very ghouly town....so we didnt go to sleep for a long time...next day was spent fishing at the beach, i ran on the beach and found a cool rock....this brings us to the best part of the trip so far...
WE SAW MRS JOHNSMEYER AT THE CAPE! as we were leaving the beach vincent sees a car on the side of the road and noticed the "Williams " sticker and said "hmm...williams sticker, puffy ha...JOHSMEYER! STOP THE CAR!" and jumped out as mark was rolling to a stop....we all jumped out and swarmed the car and chatted with her and her husband for a bit and that made our day...we went home and discovered scrabble and then went to dinner and played entirely too much scrabble and chinese poker.....
We woke up at dawn the next day to watch the sunrise but due to clouds couldnt actually.....but we then made our way into boston and got sooo completely lost trying to find Boston College that we ended up trying to get to Northeastern with Amanda's help....and there was more viscous fighting, prolly the worst yet during all this getting lost...we eventually (i am skipping over lots and lots of lost and bad directions, and btw Boston's roads rival New Jersey as shittiest)......we found Amanda and all was well and Karen met us and Jofi met us, we went to eat, the boys went to eat then we all went to the concert
Concert was probably the best Jason concert ive seen. This is the first time i actually loved both opening acts.....the first was Carbon Leaf....the second was a man named Raul Midon...he was a blind soulful guitar player and was absolutely amazing...ive never seen anyone use a guitar like he did....the way he could slap the strings with his fist while muting them created a drum kit like sound, and does amazing things with just about every style wrapped into one, and he was just absolutely incredible, Jason even sang a song with him.....he also mouthed a trumpet like sound and harmonized with himself on the guitar, it was amazing....Jason of course was amazing....he played a good mix of new and old.....started playing wonderwall in the middle of a song, Plane and Geek in the encore, great show all around....we were so pumped up after it we decided to go home straight from there.....we drove from boston to albany, then me and steve drove from albany to home, and thats why its 5:30 am! but great weekend!
